With the reassessment of traditional values and increasing exposure to Western culture, does Confucianism still have a strong influence in contemporary China?

We may never live without stories, nor will we be completely free from the traps of language. But it is necessary to reject all stories and believe in nothing at all. The world is not just made up of black and white. While we may never fully understand the Dao, the process of approaching it is very rewarding. We can apply the Daoist method of ‘decrease to increase’ in our daily lives, and can start with questions like ‘is this true?’ and ‘should I believe it?’. By keeping in mind the limitations of ourselves and all stories, we can have a more open attitude toward the world. “道可道,非常道。”“为学日益,为道日损。”
